Chinese New Year will soon be upon us and from 28^th January Chinese factories will shutdown for a couple of weeks.

We recently had another chance to feed Kate's tidy freak tendencies – a beach clean at Stokes Bay! 🌊

There was a good turn out for the Final Straw Foundation CIO event and it was especially important for us to be at this particular one as we often visit this beach during the summer for paddleboarding and in the winter for a walk and the obligatory chips on the beach - that does also happen in the summer of course!

Pretty sure we collected more than last time and it was definitely every bit as addictive as our previous effort!

We are officially hooked on beach cleans, however Kate does need to find another earworm, as Travis “Driftwood” going round in her head on repeat is repetitive as she only know about 3 lines 🤣

Final Straw organise cleans from Worthing to Southampton so if you fancy it and you can spare a couple of hours check them out.

We had a fabulous day out with Senator Pens – our go to supplier for sustainable and environmentally produced branded pens. Learning about their company ethos, the hydro electricity used to make the pens in Germany rather than the far east, and all the extra ink they squeeze into the pen itself to make it last up to 12 times longer than a standard promotional pen.

From bio-degradable branded pens to printed pens made entirely from their own waste materials in their climate neutral factory these guys have sustainable merchandise nailed. 

Our trip included a factory tour to see up close exactly how the pens are printed and the various methods available to brand a pen from laser engraving to full colour printing it was truly fascinating and very hypnotic. 👀
